post-doctoral work
My current postdoctoral research focuses on:
doctoral-research
My doctoral work, with
Prof. Ross T. Whitaker
at the Scientific Computing and Imaging (SCI) Institute, focused on:
- Developing methods for image segmentation
and denoising founded on generic
nonparametric statistical Markov models.
The goal was to invent robust methods that are effective on
a wide spectrum of image with little parameter tuning.
These methods were applied to:
- Dissertation [html,
pdf]
This research led to a ~500K NSF grant.
graduate work
As part of my graduate research, I also developed methods for:
- reconstructing dynamic contrast-enhanced cardiac perfusion images, using
temporal
constraints and
parametric
models, to enable very sparse (15%) k-space acquisitions.
This research was performed in collaboration with the Utah Center for Advance Imaging Research in the
Department of Radiology.
